@ CLICK HERE TO REGISTER Our focus for this workshop will be the medieval hood. While archeological finds have brought several types and styles of hoods, we will focus on what we know as a type and style of hood from 14th-century England commonly used by villagers, merchants and clergy. We will explore the construction of the hood, applying the documented philosophy of using only squares, triangles and rectangles for the pattern pieces to avoid fabric waste. The fabric requirement is 1 yd of Wool Flannel 60” wide. You will need to provide your own fabric for this project. Please choose your own color, and if you want your hood to be historical, keep in mind the colors available in 14th-century England. Please, no patterns or plaids. To assist you, once you register, you will receive a list of online resources where you can purchase wool fabric. Please be aware of ordering and shipping times to ensure that your fabric arrives in time for this workshop
